…so I most definitely did NOT hold up my 2016 new year resolution… Last year, I publicly set a goal to keep up with this blog, and I kind of did for 5 months but I eventually stopped keeping up with it. This year, I am going to attempt again and try really hard to stick to it. I was scrolling through pictures on my phone from this past year and I mentally kicked myself for not blogging more. I love being able to caption all of my pictures and go back later to read about what was going on and read my thoughts/feelings at the time so I seriously need to stick to it this year. I’m 24 and I need write this blog and not be so lazy… lol.
Speaking of 24– I just celebrated a birthday! I was a little sad to leave my golden year (dec. 23rd is my b-day so my year of being age 23 was my ‘golden year’… it’s a real thing) because it was such a great year, but I’m sure 24 will be awesome, too~
Conor got the cutest birthday cake for me, and it tasted as good as it looked. I had a calm and quiet birthday this year and enjoyed every moment! I had brunch with Conor and my mom, and then spent the remainder of the day with Conor, aside from one little break to go get a mani / pedi [ bday present from C 🙂 ]. We then had dinner at a fondue restaurant and had 4 courses of the yummiest fondue. All of the food was amazing and just when we thought we couldn’t eat anymore, out comes chocolate fondue and a tray of strawberries, bananas, pineapple, brownie/cheesecake bites, and marshmallows… I mean, I couldn’t just not eat it… 🙂 hah ((see below for cake pics!! it was sooo good and so stinking cute!))
After celebrating my birthday, we headed south to Southern Indiana and had Christmas with Conor’s family. We were able to spend a few days down there, but we really wanted to stay longer! It was so nice to see everyone and catch up! There were even a few new faces 🙂 We also got to catch up with Conor’s best friends and that group is seriously a hoot. I always look forward to hangin with them.
Since I totally fell of the blog planet after May, I have included a little picture grid below with some of my favorite moments from 2016 so I can prove I really did have a life May through December! Happy 2017, everyone, and cross your fingers in the hopes that I will be a better blogger this year!!
