my blissful bridal shower

Good evening!  It is Sunday night, and I am winding down for the day. I thought I would end the day by finally writing a blog post about my bridal shower a couple weeks ago!  I use the word blissful in the title because the day truly was just that.  I was all smiles that day, and felt so honored to be celebrated by a group of many of the wonderful women in my life.

My maid-of-honor and I got to spend the whole morning together getting the party ready, and she seriously nailed it on the tablescapes and decorations.  How cute was the decor and food spread?! And do not even get me started on that donut cake… The mimosa bar was a big hit, too!!

After all of the ladies had arrived and everyone had a chance to mingle for a while, we moved outside for the shower activity: flower crowns!! Again, props to Becca for this awesome idea. It was seriously so cute. (( B and I went to a couple different grocery stores that morning to collect all of the flowers, and we were freaking out once we saw them all together in their little bundles. )) We all got the hang of it pretty quickly, and it was so nice to sit out on the deck and chat with everyone and make our little crowns.  I love how each one was unique… everyone got really creative! Oh and it literally couldn’t have been better weather-wise. Beautiful backdrop for a beautiful activity ❤ See below! 🙂

The selfie stick came out shortly after the flower crowns were done 😉

And we got a group photo, too!

After our group shot, we moved inside for gifts! Conor and I didn’t do an item registry for the wedding (since we’ve lived together for a couple years) so I know I kinda forced this group to get creative! Everyone delivered, and all of the gifts were great ❤ Frames, candles, gift cards, robes, a super cute apron, kitchen goodies, an Instax polaroid camera, lingerie and jammies, swim coverups and sunscreen for the honeymoon, a luxurious champagne + bubble bath goodie basket, and a framed Ray LaMontange record – the album cover + record of our first dance song (this one hit me in the feels!!).  I felt truly spoiled! ❤ ❤ ❤ And extra fabulous with my flower crown on too.

I really appreciate all of the love and support I felt on this day!  The bridesmaids stayed after the shower and we were able to hang out and get in the pool and catch up!  I freaking love hanging out with these girls… the group dynamic is stellar and we always have so much fun together. All in all, I will definitely cherish the memories made on this day ❤ Thanks so much for reading all about it! XO, Emma
