June 8

HI EVERYONE!!! We are home from the honeymoon and still riding the high from all of the wedding festivities and honeymoon fun! ย So much happened over the past couple weeks, which means lots of blog posts coming up! ๐Ÿ™‚ I don’t want to reveal too much up front, so I’ll do my best to keep my content specific to the post topic at hand ๐Ÿ™‚

First up: The Day Before the Wedding!

The day before the wedding was a really good one. ย I met up with the girls + Conor’s mom early at The Beauty Bar at Geist for manis and pedis! I picked this place from a list of Google search results, and I’m sooo happy this was the winner because it was perfect for our little party! (And so cute and well decorated, too, which obviously makes anything better.)

** Side note: (1) I LOVED this nail bar area. I mean it’s called The Beauty Bar so duh lol, but it was so cute! And (2) I’ve been obsessed with this chalky blue color that I’ve been seeing lately and the color on this nail bar was major inspo! I want to talk Conor into painting our bedroom or living room this color… something in our house needs to be this kind of blue! **

After manis and pedis (and some cocktails! yes — this nail salon sells adult beverages too~) we went to check into our Airbnb! We rented a little bungalow in Meridian-Kessler, and it was the perfect home base for us girls! **Another side note – June 8th, the day before the wedding, was national best friends day… how perfect?!

We hung out for a little while and then started getting ready for the rehearsal!

Props to Becca for making my rehearsal bouquet (or should I say faux-quet ๐Ÿ™‚ ).

Also props to Ryan, one of Conor’s groomsmen, for taking shameless photos of me in front of a giant fan that was in our reception location!! Note to self: buy an industrial sized fan for future photoshoots… LOL.

After the ceremony rehearsal, we were off to Cobblestone in Zionsville!

Can’t say enough great things about this dinner party! ย My in-laws were the brains behind the operation for this event, and they did a fabulous job! The space was cozy, intimate, and adorned with the sweetest little accent details, courtesy of my now mother-in-law who puts her special touch into everything she does! This was really the first chance that the bridesmaids and groomsmen had to get to know each other (the girls knew the girls and the boys knew the boys, but the 2 groups hadn’t really met before this), and I was so thrilled that everyone hit it off so well. Conor and I were in the center of the main table, and it seriously brought a smile to my face every time I looked over to the bridal party end of the table and saw everyone cracking up, CHEERS!-ing, taking boomerangs and selfies… ugh it was just too good. Dinner was wonderful, and then we finished off with the CUTEST homemade cake from the woman who also did our wedding cake ๐Ÿ™‚ How adorable is this???

The cake was beach/honeymoon-themed to get us in the Costa Rica spirit! She even made a C+E in the “sand” of the cake…. *DYING!* The palm trees were made out of mini Reese’s btw!! The little details truly touch my heart โค

A million thank yous to my now mother- and father-in-law for putting on this rehearsal dinner! ย It was the perfect way to kick off the wedding weekend, and a great chance for everyone to mix and mingle with faces both new and familiar ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks so much for reading!! Wedding + a couple honeymoon posts to come… be on the lookout! XO, Emma
